Decker Truck Line recently announced its Drivers of the Month for August 2007. Jim Rowe was selected from Decker’s flatbed division, and Sammy “Mule” Boydston received the award for the reefer/van division.

Rowe, who lives in Marseilles, Ill., has been an exceptional driver during his five years for Decker, says his dispatcher, Sue Anderson. “Jim will do whatever is asked of him and is very easy to work with,” Anderson says.

Boydston, who lives in McPherson, Kan., has been an extremely successful driver with Decker for more than three years, says his dispatcher, Marcia Goodale. “He is dependable and hard-working,” Goodale says.

Drivers and owner-operators for Fort Dodge, Iowa-based Decker are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected for Driver of the Month during 2007 are eligible for the honor of 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
