International Truck and Engine Corp. announced Tuesday, Sept. 4, that Annette Freund has been promoted to vice president of compensation, benefits and human resources support. Freund — who joined the company in 1999 as director of pension investments — has served as director of compensation and benefits for the past three years.
“Annette has distinguished herself as a committed, forward-thinking professional, and as a result, we recently expanded her role to include corporate human resources and corporate travel,” says Greg Elliott, vice president of corporate human resources and administration for Warrenville, Ill.-based International.
In addition to continuing to develop plans to more closely link compensation and performance, Freund ,53, will play a critical role in filling key executive positions and ensuring that candidates meet Navistar’s high standards and expectations, Elliott says.
