Magtec Products announced that Edward (Ed) Bass is the company’s new vice
president of sales, effective September 1, 2007. Ed Bass’ responsibilities will be to plan and implement sales and marketing strategies.
Ed Bass has an extensive background in the trucking industry, where he focused his skills in risk management and insurance. He spent four years as vice president transportation with CNA Insurance, followed by five years as executive vice president with the Synaxis Transportation Group, before joining MAGTEC.
“I am convinced that the M5K will play a significant role in how carriers manage their assets and drivers in the future. It’s a new tool that will ultimately contribute to safer roads,” states Ed Bass.
The M5K is a high-tech vehicle security system with keyless driver authentication. With the M5K, fleet managers can remotely disable a vehicle, even if the vehicle is in motion, by bringing it to a safe and controlled stop.
