Contract Freighters, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., recently announced that three of its professional truck drivers — Charles Beaty, Jon Smith and Larry Trexler — have achieved the goal of traveling three million miles. With these three honorees, only eight drivers in CFI’s history have reached this career milestone.

“These individuals represent an elite group of drivers at CFI and in the industry,” says Herb Schmidt, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “Our drivers are the heart and soul of our business, and we are all excited and proud to see these drivers reach this personal and professional achievement.”

The three drivers have a combined total of more than 90 years of professional driving experience, 77 of those with CFI. Beaty, who resides in Seneca, Mo., has been a CFI driver since 1981 and has been driving professionally for 36 years. Smith, a Joplin resident, began his professional driving career with CFI in 1984. Trexler, a professional truck driver for 38 years, has been with CFI since 1979 and lives in Rockwell, N.C.
