Thermo King announced Thursday, Sept. 13, that Will Watson has been named OEM sales manager, responsible for developing and supporting the needs of tractor OEMs as they relate to sales of the company’s TriPac hybrid auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management systems.

The Minneapolis-based company also announced that Paulo Wandenkolk has been named Central Region director, responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the region’s district sales and service managers, national account manager and bus manager.

Watson comes to Thermo King with more than 15 years experience within the trucking industry. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Auxiliary Power Dynamics. Prior to joining APD, Watson was a founding member and the chief business development officer for The Intra USA Group, as well as transportation business manager for Ingersoll Rand’s Tool and Hoist division, and fleet and OEM sales executive for Index Sensors & Controls. Watson also served for eight years in the U.S. Air Force.

Currently, Watson is the chairman of the APU/GenSet standards task force for the Technology & Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Associations, and also has chaired several TMC task forces and symposiums.

Wandenkolk joined Ingersoll Rand in November 2004, most recently serving as managing director of the company’s Climate Control Technologies’ South America business. Under Wandenkolk’s leadership, the transport and retail businesses were consolidated into one climate control technologies team, effectively strengthening the South American Thermo King dealer network.

Previously, Wandenkolk was employed by Siemens, where he was a managing director with responsibilities in three different businesses. He also worked for Alcan Aluminum, holding different roles in manufacturing, sales and marketing.
