SiriCOMM, Inc. announced the launch of www.MyConvoy.com, a new social networking site designed specifically for over-the-road truck drivers. MyConvoy.com provides users with the opportunity to share thoughts and experiences, create personal pages, share photos, create and participate in user-defined polls and discussion groups, and stay connected to family and friends.

“MyConvoy.com continues to leverage SiriCOMM’s nationwide network of Wi-Fi Hot Spots to create new revenue streams,” stated Mark Grannell, SiriCOMM president and CEO. “In essence, we are providing a social network for America’s Truck Drivers, similar to what www.myspace.com and www.facebook.com have done in targeting young audiences. Truck drivers are one of the most important economic engines of the U.S. economy and deserve a dedicated site.”

The new site will provide an exciting, new service for SiriCOMM’s driver demographic, as well as adding revenue opportunities from advertising and delivery of premium services especially for over-the-road drivers.

MyConvoy.com has been in beta development for the past few months and already has more than 1,100 active users. This week, MyConvoy becomes the landing page for all users of the SiriCOMM InTouch, a subscription-based wireless internet access service used by truck drivers at over 480 Hot Spots nationwide.

SiriCOMM expects to continue adding functionality and services to MyConvoy in the coming months.
