Arens — which designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of by-wire electronic transmission and drivetrain control components and systems — recently announced that it has acquired Quadrastat, a Pomona, Calif.-based manufacturer of controls specifically designed for applications in the construction, agricultural and medium- and heavy-duty market. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

“The acquisition of Quadrastat marks a significant step in the evolution of Arens,” says Kenneth Kunin, president of the Carpenterville, Ill.-based company. “Together we can now offer the market a wider range of solutions from a single source. We see this as a tremendous advantage to our customers, and an opportunity for significant market growth for both brands.”

Kunin says that over the course of the next few months, Arens will be bringing the Quadrastat operation to Carpentersville where it can blend the expertise of both companies by providing engineering support and expanded manufacturing capabilities.
