Cadec Global, a provider of driver-centric fleet management systems, announced Wednesday, Sept. 19, a partnership with TMW Systems intended to help joint clients track and improve trucking fleet and dispatch productivity.

TMW says it enables carriers to easily integrate vital real-time data from every facet of their operations into a single system to maximize operational efficiency, deliver superior customer service and ensure long-term profitability. Cadec provides driver-centric fleet management systems designed to measure driver performance, monitor critical safety and compliance aspects, optimize fuel consumption and accelerate delivery times.

Several large companies, including Gibson Energy, already are using TMW and Cadec to manage their trucking fleets via custom integration. As a result of this new partnership, the next version of Cadec’s fleet management software, shipping later this year, will feature Web services APIs that enable out-of-the-box integration with one of TMW’s enterprise management solutions, TMWSuite.

The companies say the integrated TMW/Cadec solution will enable customers to:

  • Get real-time status of every truck, driver and delivery from within their TMW screen;
  • Turn trucks around faster, with accurate real-time dispatch information; and
  • Optimize the load in every truck for greater efficiency and maximized revenue per vehicle.
  • “Cadec’s fleet management systems provide real-time driver-centric data that’s crucial for transportation managers,” says David Wangler, chief executive officer of Cleveland-based TMW Systems. “Working closely with Cadec allows TMW to deliver a customer’s real-time data right to their TMW screens. It’s another example of our commitment to giving customers all the timely, relevant data they need to maximize fleet productivity.”

    Cadec says it provides an open, extensible platform for fleet management; its hosted service-oriented architecture (SOA) design makes it easy to update, meaning that as new versions of TMWSuite are released, Cadec clients will automatically benefit from updates that sustain their integration.

    “TMW is the platform of choice for so many large trucking fleets,” says Michael Baney, CEO of Manchester, N.H.-based Cadec. “Linking TMW with Cadec will help our joint customers take swift action to remedy potential problems, or replicate success, based on driver information.”

    Cadec demonstrated its trucking fleet management solutions at TMW’s TransForum 2007, which took place this week at the Marriott World Center Resort in Orlando, Fla.
