Peterson Manufacturing — a provider of vehicle safety lighting, mirrors, reflectors, antennas and related products — announced Thursday, Sept. 27, that it has formed new partnerships with two Canadian firms to further enhance its brand with Canadian customers while improving its responsiveness to the specialized needs of the safety lighting market in Canada.

Now representing Peterson throughout Canada is Grant Brothers Sales Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario, one of the country’s leading manufacturers’ representatives. With Canada’s largest sales force in the automotive, hardware and heavy-duty markets, Grant Brothers provides the strong, in-the-field presence that Peterson was seeking as part of its renewed focus on Canadian sales.

On the distribution side, G’Day Warehousing Inc. of Brampton, Ontario, now will provide distribution center services for the Peterson line. G’Day is a family-owned business whose modern, computerized facilities, plus transportation and courier coordination, ensure fast, efficient customer service.

According to Art Richardson, Peterson vice president of sales, the changing demands of today’s transportation market makes Grant Brothers and G’Day more compatible agents. “We are very pleased with our new Canadian alliances,” Richardson says. “Their corporate cultures of honesty and integrity, and their commitment to the highest levels of responsive customer service, make them ideal partners for Peterson. With their help, we are determined to be the most respected vehicle safety lighting brand in the Canadian marketplace.”

Peterson, based in Grandview, Mo., previously enjoyed a long relationship with Spartan Agencies Ltd./Spartan Warehousing Ltd. in western Canada and Spartan Marketing Services Inc. and NAFTA Warehousing Services Inc. in the East.
