Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems recently announced that it is opening a new Pilot Truck Care Center in Temple, Ga. The center — located at Exit 19, Interstate 20, 635 Carrollton St. — will provide trucking fleets with new tires, retreads, limited mechanical service, preventive maintenance and roadside assistance.

“This new center supports our truck tire customers and their request for an on-highway presence,” says Brent Copeland, chief operating officer and president of Fort Smith, Ark.-based Wingfoot. “It is important that we bring our fleet maintenance services closer to where they’re needed. We also look forward to being a part of the community. In addition, the Temple center fulfills our promise to help lower trucking fleets’ tire and maintenance operating costs with important tire- and maintenance-tracking tools available in more locations throughout the United States.”

Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., has 171 commercial tire sales, service and retread facilities nationwide. With the addition of the new truck care center in Temple, Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems now has 21 on-highway Pilot Truck Care Centers nationwide. Besides offering new tires, the centers provide retreading, tire management tools and business solutions for trucking fleets.
