The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced Thursday, Oct. 11, that its commercial tires now are available for specification on all International Truck & Engines vehicles. Goodyear says it has been named an International primary tire supplier.

“We are extremely pleased to have been chosen by International Truck for use on its long-haul trucks, regional delivery trucks, mixed-service trucks and buses,” says Steve McClellan, vice president of commercial tire systems for Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear.

Goodyear’s fuel-efficient Fuel Max Technology tires and self-sealing DuraSeal mixed-service tires are eligible for selection by International customers, McClellan says. The company’s Fuel Max tires are standard equipment on the International ProStar family of tractors.

Goodyear’s commercial tires for Warrenville, Ill.-based International are produced at the tire maker’s manufacturing facilities in Danville, Va., and Topeka, Kan.
