OIX recently held a contest among its truck drivers to encourage employees to take ownership in the company and gather new recruits. The contest was to see who could bring on board the most new drivers during the course of 12 months.

Sandy Kauszler-Long was the winner and was presented with a new Harley Davidson Fat-Boy, purchased from Gail’s Harley Davidson in Grandview, Mo. The contest’s effort was responsible for 20 percent of the new driver hires at the Kansas City, Mo.-based company.

The contest will be repeated at the drivers’ request, and next year’s winner will receive an all-inclusive trip for two to Hawaii.
