SelecTrucks hires three new center managers

Used truck dealer SelecTrucks on Oct. 24 announced the hiring of three new center managers: Kent Peterman, Steve Chesney and Tony Haas. The Portland, Ore.-based company says these experienced used truck industry veterans bring great leadership and expertise to its national network of retail centers.

Peterman has been appointed center manager at SelecTrucks of the Twin Cities. Peterman has more than 15 years of national experience in the used truck business. Peterman’s prior experience with SelecTrucks includes serving as regional center operations manager and as district manager of the Northeast and Midwest regions. Previously, Peterman worked in truck and equipment financing.

Chesney has been hired as center manager of SelecTrucks of Birmingham, Ala. Bringing more than 21 years of experience in sales, management and business administration, Chesney’s past experience with SelecTrucks includes serving as the sales manager at SelecTrucks of Nashville. Previously, Chesney worked for Freightliner at a Greensboro, N.C.-based dealership. His prior experience includes owning and operating his own small business and serving in the U.S. Navy.

Haas has joined SelecTrucks of St. Louis as center manager, bringing more than 12 years of experience in the used truck business. Haas’ previous roles with SelecTrucks include serving as sales manager and sales representative at SelecTrucks of the Twin Cities. Prior to joining SelecTrucks, Haas worked in the service and vehicle maintenance areas of a 100-plus-unit truck fleet. His past experience also consists of working both domestically and abroad as a government contracted aircraft technician.
