Sterling Truck Corp. recently announced that the Sterling Bullet — its new chassis-cab, Class 4/5 vehicle introduced in March — has begun production. The trucks have begun arriving in dealerships.

“Interest in the Bullet has been high,” says Matt Stevenson, director of light commercial vehicles for Redford, Mich.-based Sterling. “In fact, we’ve filled our production on the Bullet for the rest of 2007. We’re excited for our customers to start putting them to work.”

The Bullet is suited for demanding applications including construction, utility, residential services, landscaping, municipal services, and pickup and delivery. Standard features include a Cummins 6.7L ISB engine with exhaust brake, a power-take-off prep package, air conditioning and cruise control.

“Sterling dealers have the expertise to spec the right truck for any job,” Stevenson says. “Plus, Bullet customers will get the kind of service they expect from a commercial vehicle dealer — service centers with longer hours, and technicians trained to get trucks back to work fast.”
