Fifth-wheel manufacturer Fontaine International-North America announced Monday, Nov. 12, that Henry Bell has been named president, and Terry Mennen has joined the company as vice president of business development.

As president of Fontaine International-North America, Bell sets the company’s strategic direction and is responsible for all aspects of its operations. Bell joined the Fontaine family in August 2005 as president of the fleet business unit of Fontaine Trailer. He was charged with segmenting the fleet business from the dealer business during a period of growth. In the process, he hired a new team and led the design, construction and production launch of a new trailer manufacturing facility in Jasper, Ala.

Bell came to Irondale, Ala.-based Fontaine following a 15-year career with refuse collection vehicle manufacturer Heil Environmental. He held a number of roles with Heil, including sales, quality control and production superintendent. He served as general manager of Heil’s parts business, Parts Central, before being promoted to general manager of Bayne Machine Works, a Heil subsidiary.

Mennen comes to Fontaine with more than 23 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry. As vice president of business development, he is responsible for OEM sales, as well as fleet and dealer sales activities. He also is in charge of marketing, customer service and business development. Mennen has worked for Federal-Mogul, Hendrickson International and MacLean-Fogg.

“Terry is a valuable addition to our team,” Bell says. “He is a proven leader, knows the industry well and is absolutely focused on serving customers.”
