American LaFrance, a fire and rescue apparatus manufacturer, announced Nov. 7 that it has promoted Jeff Cook to national sales manager for its commercial division. As part of his new responsibilities, Cook will oversee the current regional sales managers in the field and handle sales-related issues involving the American LaFrance commercial dealer network.

Cook joined the Summerville, S.C.-based company in 2006 and formerly held the position of Southeast regional sales manager. Previously, he spent most of his career with Heil Environmental, serving as general manager for Heil South and as Southeast regional sales manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in the refuse and heavy-duty truck industry.

“Jeff is the perfect person for the job,” says Jim Rogers, vice president of sales and marketing for American LaFrance’s commercial division. “In Jeff’s role in the Southeast, we were able to sell Condor trucks to accounts that previously purchased from the competition. Jeff has a great relationship with the dealers in his territory, and now we need him to drive his sales concepts to all of our regions to make our dealer network even stronger.”
