The American Trucking Associations’ National Truck Driving Championships has announced it is seeking entries for the first-ever NTDC Collectible Truck and Lapel Pin Design Contest. Each year, ATA unveils a new collectible truck and lapel pin to memorialize the current year’s competition.

This year, anyone associated with the trucking industry – spouses and children included – may submit a design idea for both the collectible truck and lapel pin. The winner of the NTDC design contest will be recognized in the NTDC onsite program as well as on the official NTDC website. The winner also will receive a complementary collectible truck and lapel pin.

Designs should capture the essence of NTDC and the hosting city. Entries should include on either the tractor or trailers: the ATA logo, the words “2008 National Truck Driving Championships,” and the hosting city “Houston, TX.” The official contest rules are available on the entry form available by clicking here.

All NTDC Design Contest entries must be submitted and received by Feb. 1, 2008. Submissions must include: name, company, address, telephone number, e-mail and relationship to the trucking industry. Design entries may be sent to American Trucking Associations, Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council, at [email protected].

The National Truck Driving Championships, established by ATA, include nearly 400 top professional truck drivers from across the nation. The NTDC annually attracts more than 2,000 cheering friends, family, colleagues and spectators for the trucking industry’s premier safety competition, often referred to as the “Super Bowl of safety.” NTDC and the State Truck Driving Championships also promote and pay tribute to the professional driver’s superior skills, knowledge, professionalism and commitment to safety on America’s highways.
