Ryder System has announced that Composites One, a distributor of composite materials to a number of growing industries including the boating industry, has selected Ryder for logistics and warehouse management services supporting its operations in China.
“China is an important market for us, and our ability to meet customers’ needs quickly, efficiently and safely will contribute to our growth and success,” says Don Hairhoger, president of Composites One’s Asian operations. “We have selected Ryder to lead our Chinese supply chain operations based on their expertise and consistency implementing logistics operations of the highest standards.”
Under the contract, Ryder acts as a lead logistics provider managing local logistics companies specializing in the safe handling of hazardous materials. Services provided by Ryder include operational management, logistics engineering, shipment planning and execution, and a customized warehouse management system (WMS).
