The 2007 Meca-South Florida Truck Show hosted local drivers for festive foods, family fun and musical entertainment by Joey Holiday and Crew. A truck beauty contest also was on the schedule.

Jeremy Trout of Britton, Mich., won Best of Show Bobtail honors with his 2007 Kenworth W900 owned and operated by Bogies Express of Tecumseh, Mich. Both the North and the South were represented with its graphic rendition of Generals Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant. The truck honors Civil War veterans and depicts Arlington Cemetery.

Gerald Kissinger rolled in from the North with his Big Bad Bulldog and won the Best of Show Combo trophy with his V-8 powered Mack.

Bob and Joyce Thrift from Umatilla, Fla., captured Non-Working Best of Show with their beautifully restored 1973 Peterbilt 288, which is one of only 80 model 288 Peterbilts ever made.

The final competitor for the 2007 Lite-off in Louisville, Ky., was Phil Knowlen and his 1994 purple 379 Peterbilt out of Coldwater, Mich. Knowlen has been a five-time alternate in the 2007 season.
