Florida motorists may want to bypass the Turnpike’s Homestead toll plaza between Friday night, Dec. 14, and Wednesday morning, Dec. 19, to avoid major delays and extreme congestion.
Toll lanes will be closed 24 hours a day during the following periods as work crews tear down the tollbooths, gates, equipment and toll plaza roof over the existing SunPass-only lanes:
Only three toll lanes in each direction will remain open during these periods – one SunPass-only lane, one cash lane and one cash/SunPass lane
