The 2008 Trucker Buddy calendar, sponsored by Kenworth, again features drawings by children in the program. Trucker Buddy is a nonprofit that assigns truck drivers to elementary-school classrooms as pen pals.
Each year, hundreds of students submit drawings of safety messages their Trucker Buddies have taught them, and 12 entries are selected for the calendar. This annual tradition began in 2004, when Kenworth sponsored a coloring contest for Trucker Buddy students.
Calendars will be given to companies and individuals who make a donation to Trucker Buddy while supplies last. They also can be purchased for $5 per calendar including shipping. Inquiries about quantity orders are welcome.
