DriverTech — designers of a Windows XP-embedded onboard computing system with three modes of communications for the transportation industry — announced the availability of its interface with TMWSuite, an enterprise transportation software (ETS) system from TMW Systems Inc.

TMW ETS systems are designed to enable carriers to easily integrate vital real-time data from every facet of operations into a single system to maximize operational efficiency, deliver superior customer service and ensure long-term profitability. DriverTech, which describes its intuitive onboard computing system as cost-effective and highly robust, says it provides carriers with a wide range of application choices in an easy-to-integrate package.

“Combining North America’s largest provider of enterprise management software designed specifically for the transportation services industry with what we consider to be the most advanced onboard communications system available on the market today opens up a huge growth path for both companies,” says Mark Haslam, chief executive officer of Salt Lake City,-based DriverTech.

“DriverTech’s XP Embedded platform can offer TMW customers a broad range of application options to suit their specific business requirements,” says Dave Mook, chief operating officer of Cleveland-based TMW Systems. “DriverTech seems unique in the transportation industry in providing an open, powerful and mainstream operating system with a tethered in-cab device well suited for driver messaging and a host of other driver services. Integrating vehicle location reports and interactive driver messaging with our TMWSuite product delivers powerful dispatch efficiencies.”
