Enterprise software provider Innovative Computing Corp. announced that it has been honored as an IBM Advanced Level Partner. Innovative says that through this acknowledgment, IBM recognizes the quality of its software and the business commitment between both companies, and that IBM also affirms the partnership between these two leaders and their joint approach to offering the trucking industry’s highest-quality software, hardware and services.

Innovative says this achievement is based on the demonstration that its IBM-based solution Innovative Enterprise Software (IES) meets IBM’s stringent software, middleware and hardware requirements. In addition, IBM verified the successful implementation of IES on the new IBM Power System running the IBM i operating system at an Innovative customer’s facility, proving not only the technical quality of the software, but also its ongoing applicability.

“We are quite pleased and honored that IBM has recognized the high quality of our core enterprise software and Innovative’s longstanding commitment to the IBM platform,” says Ernie Betancourt, president of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Innovative. “We look forward to continuing to develop our strong relationship with IBM.”

As a result of this new level of partnership with IBM, Innovative says its customers will benefit through critical offerings designed to enhance its success in reaching customers and continuing to improve the software system; these new IBM benefits include substantial investments in time and funding for key Innovative endeavors such as technical enablement, skill development, sales support and marketing, which in turn enables Innovative to offer ever-improving systems to its customer base and the industry as a whole.

In addition, Innovative says its Internet-based IES Access and Access Plus systems also have qualified for IBM’s Software as a Service specialty program; as a SaaS provider, not only has Innovative’s software been recognized, but so too has IBM recognized the extensive managed services Innovative offers to its ASP customers such as hosting, mirroring and monitoring. As a member of the SaaS Specialty program, Innovative says it will have additional options available that will focus on the provision of enterprise software to its customers via the Internet.
