Sterling Truck Corp. recently presented a 2008 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle to George Blake of Birmingham, Ala. The motorcycle was the grand prize in the Sterling Bullet “Work Hard! Play Hard!” Sweepstakes. The presentation event occurred at Long-Lewis Sterling of Bessemer, Ala.
Blake, new machine manager at Tractor & Equipment Co. in Birmingham, was selected in a random drawing of entries from all over the United States and Canada. A long-time Sterling customer, Blake was urged to enter by Hugh Cummings, his sales representative at Long-Lewis Sterling.
“It’s amazing that I was chosen, because I’ve never won anything big like this in my life,” says Blake, who orders all new equipment for his company.
“The Bullet is an important part of the Sterling product lineup, and George is a great customer,” says Terry Huber, sales development manager for Redford, Mich.-based Sterling Truck Corp. “We couldn’t be happier for him. On behalf of everyone at Sterling Trucks, congratulations to George on winning the Harley Davidson Sportster.”
