Webasto Product North America — a provider of cooling and ventilation systems for commercial vehicles and passenger cars — announced Thursday, Oct. 16, that Mark Wallace, president and chief executive officer, will leave the company effective Oct. 31.

“He has chosen to accept an excellent leadership opportunity with a large publicly-traded company,” says Dr. Joachim Damasky, member of the management board of Webasto AG, of which WPNA is a subsidiary. “We wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”

At Fenton, Mich.-based WPNA, Wallace implemented a sound strategy and good processes, and assembled a talented executive team, Damasky says. “Webasto’s Global Comfort Solutions business unit recognizes the strength of WPNA and the great opportunities in North America, and is investing heavily to drive WPNA’s future growth,” Damasky says.

Fred Olson — member of the WPNA board of directors and former president and CEO of Rochester Hills, Mich.-based Webasto Roof Systems — will assume the role of WPNA’s interim president and CEO.
