Transplace, a provider of transportation services and logistics technology, announced the successful conversion of the company’s IT infrastructure from a physical to a virtual environment.
TransPlace says the yearlong project allowed it to achieve several key benefits, including:
The ability to maintain world-class software-as-a-service functionality, hosting, availability and reliability when delivering transportation logistics services to customers;
More efficient use of hardware by reducing the number of deployed servers;
Lower software licensing costs; and
The ability to create additional server environments on demand.
