Concert Group Logistics has announced the opening of a new station in Louisville, Ky., under the leadership of Chuck Evans. A 35-year veteran of the logistics industry, Evans has extensive experience in all areas of transportation logistics, having operated his own startup company, Ship and Shop, for several years. Evans also has worked for United Parcel Service and Roadway Global Air, among others.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to work closely with clients to deliver extensive plans customized for their exact transportation needs,” Evans says. “Several of our projects include shipping oversized items, such as cranes and forklifts, overseas. Our hands-on approach is applied to all clients, no matter the shape or size. There is no one-size-fits-all here.”

With the addition of the Louisville station, CGL now has a network of 25 stations throughout the United States, all of which are equipped to handle worldwide transport.

“In addition to possessing the necessary skills and experience, the Louisville station delivers an unparalleled customer-centric approach that will help to make this business even stronger,” says Gerry Post, president of Downers Grove, Ill.-based CGL, a subsidiary of Express-1 Expedited Solutions. “Evans’ team of seasoned professionals offers years of insight with fresh new perspectives. We are eager to see what they bring to the table and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
