Webb Wheel Products has published a new brochure outlining the features and benefits of the Webb Vortex lightweight cast iron brake drum recently introduced to the commercial vehicle market.
Included is a description of the drum’s patent-pending design, which the Cullman, Ala.-based company says results in a drum that weighs about 12 pounds less than standard heavy-duty brake drums without sacrificing strength and durability. The brochure includes graphics that demonstrate how the external fins conduct heat away from the brake surface for superior heat dissipation and a cooler running drum.
