Karmak increases sales force

Karmak has appointed three new managers to its sales team. The Carlinville, Ill.-based company says the new additions will expand its presence in the Central and Northwest United States and Canada.

Gary Woods is the new regional manager for the Pacific Northwest territory, covering Washington, Oregon, Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta and the Yukon Territory. Woods comes to Karmak with 13 years of experience in the heavy-duty commercial truck industry, and extensive knowledge of dealership operations from varied perspectives. Formerly holding a variety of senior corporate positions with Paccar, Freightliner and Sterling Trucks, he interfaced actively with dealer principals and the “20 Group” dealer representatives.

Dean Hill joined Karmak as the Midwest regional manager, covering Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan. Hill has worked in the heavy-duty industry for 32 years, with a successful progression from truck technician to executive management with Fortune 500 companies. His diversified background involves sales, service and dealership general management positions, including managing regional and national operations for one of the world’s largest refrigerated carriers.

Art Northover is the new regional manager for the Central United States and Canada, covering Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. A 30-year industry veteran, Northover’s experience includes executive sales and operations positions with multinational manufacturing organizations, including Detroit Diesel and Deutz Corp., with a strong background in parts, service and dealer/distributor development.
