Penske Truck Leasing has announced the opening of its new collision repair center in the Atlanta suburb of Lithia Springs, located at 400 Interstate West Parkway. The 20,000-square-foot facility provides collision services for chassis, body and trailer repairs, complete vehicle refinishing, and frame and alignment work for commercial trucks and vehicles. Penske Truck Leasing operates 16 other commercial truck collision repair centers across North America.

“This state-of-the-art center uses the latest environmentally friendly repair and refinish techniques,” says Frank Mileto, senior vice president of business ventures for Penske Truck Leasing, based in Reading, Pa. “We have installed special high-efficiency paint spray booths that help filter the great majority of emissions to protect the environment. These booths employ smart technology that minimizes energy and fuel consumption, and has an improved air filtration system.”

Penske says the facility, which sits on seven acres, has five service bays and uses special light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent. The facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers, as well as commercial truck fleets from other regional businesses.

“This facility helps us keep pace with the demand for repair services in the greater Atlanta region and also supports our existing facility in Norcross,” says John Crockett, Southeast Region senior vice president for Penske. “We expect to hire additional associates and expand our hours of operation in 2009 as we gain additional customers throughout Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.”

The collision center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 678-626-2201.
