Averitt Express has announced that it has expanded its less-than-containerload (LCL) service known as Asia-Memphis Express with two new origin points, Hong Kong and South China (Shenzhen/Yantian Port). Averitt announced the first phase of the rollout of its Asia-Memphis Express service in July with an LCL service focused on originating in Shanghai and Shenzen.

“This next phase of expansion shows the continued demand for consistent, reliable LCL service from Asia,” says Charlie McGee, vice president of international development for Cookeville, Tenn.-based Averitt. “We expect to add more origin points in the future.”

Averitt says its international customer service specialists constantly monitor each shipment and provide the exact location of Asia-Memphis cargo at any time. Web-based visibility also is available.
