Glacier Computer — a designer, developer and supplier of rugged industrial PC-compatible devices — announced a strategic partnership with WAV Inc. Under terms of the agreement, WAV will offer Glacier’s rugged Everest and Ridgeline series of industrial computers. WAV performs professional services such as site surveys, software and hardware development and integration, custom rollout kits, installation and technical support.
“The addition of Glacier Computer’s Everest and Ridgeline industrial series further reinforces our commitment to offering superior customer service and providing innovative rugged solutions that meet the changing needs of our customers,” says Norm Dumbroff, president and chief executive officer of Chicago-based WAV. “We look forward to helping our solution providers implement this high-performance solution to a variety of vertical segments, including public safety, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution, and many more.”
The Glacier Everest unit is an all-in-one computer designed to be mounted onto forklifts, heavy equipment and public safety vehicles. The Glacier Ridgeline is a rugged tablet designed specifically for the mobile worker in need of full-blown computing power at the point of service. Glacier says all units are sealed and designed for operation in harsh environments.
