The Evans Network of Companies announced that CTW Transportation Services Inc. is the newest addition to the Evans Network. CTW now will operate as part of Evans Delivery Co.

“By bringing these companies together, we will expand our transportation service and logistics capabilities to better serve shippers,” says Albert “Bert” L. Evans Jr., president and chief executive officer of Evans Network, based in Schuylkill Haven, Pa. “CTW has agreements with all railroads in Kansas City, Missouri, to provide container drayage services at various rail ramps.”

The Evans Network has a fleet of more than 1,350 tractors and 80 service centers throughout the country, providing transportation services in the intermodal container and trailer drayage, van truckload and flatbed markets encompassing six divisions: Evans Delivery Co., West Motor Freight, All Points Transport Corp., Hale Intermodal Trucking, Century Express and DM Transportation Management Services, a full-service vendor inbound management company serving the direct marketing and retail industries.

Evans says the network offers shippers a single point of contact or dealing directly with local offices. “As the network continues to grow, we give shippers the vast experience and resources of network companies, agents and owner operators for dependable service,” Evans says.

Evans says the partnership adds customers, drivers and equipment to the network’s 80 service centers across the United States. CTW Transportation is operated by 25 drivers and has 20- and 40-foot chassis, along with spread axle chassis that can accommodate two 20-foot containers at once or a single 40- to 45-foot container.

“Evans’ experience, large nationwide network of agent operations and corporate sales staff makes them a perfect partner for our shippers,” says Ray Taylor, CTW vice president and general manager. “Service to our customers will continue without interruption, and personnel will remain the same.”
