Penske Truck Leasing on Thursday, Dec. 4, announced it has expanded its relationship with Enhanced Vehicle Applications to offer a wider selection of their products for onboard commercial truck tracking technology.

“EVA is a trusted partner with exceptional customer service,” says Jim Feenstra, senior vice president of marketing for Penske Truck Leasing, based in Reading, Pa. “We’re pleased to expand our relationship with them. EVA’s CyntrX product provides our customers with a low-cost high-value product with exceptional functionality for fleet tracking and reporting.”

EVA currently offers GPS real-time tracking and GPS fleet tracking solutions through its CyntrX product line. CyntrX is a Web-based GPS tracking system designed to allow customers the ability to monitor their fleet tracking needs throughout North America and to generate custom profiles and reports with no software loading requirements.

Penske says it will offer its customers two CyntrX units and add additional models as they become available. Penske says it previously marketed CyntrX under the name FleetInSite and has worked closely with EVA since 2005; FleetInSite is being phased out, and these units now will be marketed by Penske as a part of its wider Fleet I.Q. brand offering.

Penske says its move with EVA is part of its wider technology and decision support strategy to support its customer’s fleet productivity needs. Penske says its Fleet I.Q. brand will become a portfolio of services and solutions at various price points that will include onboard technology solutions from a variety of high-caliber value-added suppliers like EVA. Penske says it also will provide a new financing option and in-house consulting to help its customers analyze and get the most from the data captured by these onboard fleet technology systems.

“We enjoy being part of Penske’s technology offering and remain committed to Penske’s vision and direction,” says Greg Taisto, EVA founder and president. “Under Penske’s Fleet I.Q. business model, their customers using CyntrX will now have a direct relationship with our team, as well as expanded features designed specifically for managing assets.”
