December 5, 2008, Falconer, New York – – Truck-Lite announces the release of a truck body Quick Connect Box. This new product mounts on the bumper of a truck and provides a secure connection between the truck and consumer trailer. This box is available with two connection options. The first has the ability to provide power to the trailer via a stripped wire connection. The second has a standard 4-pin flat molded connector, in addition to the stripped wire option.
Truck-Lite’s new product features several benefits that promote durability and prohibit corrosion. For example, UV stabilizers in the molded housing and lid help avoid deterioration and weakening of the lid. The lid hinge pin fits tightly in the housing, increasing durability in all environmental conditions and reduces the chance of corrosion from exposed terminals. The main harness connection to the truck is robust and combines solder dipped wires with adhesive-lined heat shrink to keep out moisture and prevent corrosion.
The mounting holes of the Quick Connect Box make it easy for new installation or replacing an existing product. This new box is easily adaptable for use on many different vehicles including stake bodies, van bodies, and even light-duty truck applications.
