Carrier Logistics to hold 2009 User Group Conference in New York

Trucking software developer Carrier Logistics will hold its 2009 annual CLI User Group Conference April 23-24 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown White Plains, N.Y. Executives from CLI customer companies as well as system users are invited to attend the free program.

Conference attendees will learn how to optimize use of the available Web functionality, back-office accounting tools and operations management systems to increase productivity and efficiency, the company says. Other sessions will demonstrate how to use the FACTS system to improve billing accuracy, auditing techniques, EDI transfers, disaster recovery and cashflow procedures.

CLI says conference attendees also will learn more about other company modules such as Map Density: Digital Mapping, which plans computerized pickup-and-delivery routes; FACTSview business intelligence, which analyzes key performance indicators, including terminal performance, customer impact, sales staff performance and quality of revenue; and Dock Management, which streamlines cross docking and loading/unloading, and helps dock managers monitor work assignments.

“This conference has proven so popular with system users that it has grown in attendance each year,” says Ken Weinberg, CLI vice president. At the conference, expert trainers will educate operators on using the system to its fullest capacity, increasing cost savings and streamlining business practices, the company says.

For executive-level attendees, the conference will provide business sessions and think tanks on how to lead their organizations to increased profits in lean times. They will learn about and discuss strategies and action plans focusing on not just surviving but thriving, with roundtable discussions tackling the pressing issues.

System users will have the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences, Weinberg says, adding that CLI will seek feedback to help develop further enhancements to the FACTS system. “Based on requests, we are including a special partner/vendor showcase,” he says. “Attendees will learn about the latest enhancements to the system, share ideas and tips with other users, meet one-on-one with CLI subject experts and talk to solution providers who work side-by-side with CLI, such as imaging, costing, rate data, fleet maintenance, and other service and software providers.”
