QSI Corp. says the TREQ-M4, the newest addition to its TREQ line of rugged mobile data terminals, is loaded with features needed for in-vehicle communication and control, including a rugged design and compact housing.

The company says the TREQ-M4 offers a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 operating system, allowing for fast application design and integration. The display is a 480 x 272 pixel color TFT LCD, 109 mm (4.3-inch) diagonal with a resistive touchscreen. Additional standard features, according to QSI Corp., include two serial ports, two USB 1.1 full-speed host ports, 10/100Base-T wired Ethernet and a four-key lighted elastomeric keypad. Bluetooth, a magnetic card reader and an additional USB host port are available as options.

“The size of the TREQ-M4 allows the end user to mount and position the terminal for optimized functionality and minimal distractions,” says Zachary Dimick, product manager at Salt Lake City-based QSI Corp. “With a rich set of features, rugged design and compact size, the TREQ-M4 opens the door to new markets.”
