Freightliner Trucks announced the availability of the Cummins ISX Series engine as an option for the Freightliner Cascadia 125-inch BBC product line. The Cummins ISX — available with power ratings from 400 to 500 hp and 1,450 to 1,850 lb-ft of torque — joins Detroit Diesel’s DD13, DD15, Series 60 and MBE 4000 engines as options for the Cascadia.

“The impressive Cummins ISX enhances the Cascadia’s performance, making it a natural fit into our overall engine lineup,” says Melissa Clausen, director of product marketing for Portland, Ore.-based Freightliner Trucks. “By offering our customers a full range of engine options, we are providing unmatched value and service.”
