Reading Truck Body’s ongoing “Go Green” initiative has led the company to establish a new line of truck-mounted service bodies crafted predominantly of aluminum. The company says its new Classic Service Van (CSV) weighs up to 1,100 pounds less than competitive brands while delivering a larger payload and increased standard features compared to previous Reading van bodies.

The CSV features a host of new standard features, including master locks, translucent roof, LED lighting, cargo tie-downs and complete powder coat finish. Reading says the overall CVS design will give customers increased fuel economy, improved payload capacity and less wear and tear on chassis components. All CVS bodies come with a 10-year warranty and are built using recyclable materials.

In other Reading news, the company also unveiled its new line of van bodies at the Work Truck Show in Chicago last month. The new High Cube Van Body is available in lengths from 10 to 16 feet and features 040 aluminum pre-painted wide side sheets, Z-shaped side posts on 16 inch centers and 5-inch radius extruded aluminum front corner posts with a galvanneal rear frame and 12-inch aerodynamic radius front.
