YRC Worldwide and Gifts In Kind International recently announced the delivery of $250,000 worth of donated art supplies, learning software and other materials to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Club operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. The company also unveiled a special graphic on one of its trailers to raise awareness of the mission of the Washington D.C. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation to build a memorial honoring King on the National Mall.

Throughout the year, the special trailer will be used on pickup-and-delivery routes serving customers throughout the Chicago area, encouraging people to visit www.buildthedream.org and support the building of the memorial. “YRC Worldwide is proud to support the work of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago while highlighting the important effort to build a memorial for Dr. King in Washington D.C.,” says Mike Kelley, vice president of external affairs and chief sustainability officer for YRC Worldwide, based in Overland Park, Kan.
