TransCore recently welcomed John Jabas, an industry veteran with more than 25 years’ management experience, as director of national accounts sales for Fleet Compliance Services. Jabas has extensive knowledge of the transportation services industry, including motor carrier regulatory compliance, tax consulting and consolidated fleet licensing.

He will be responsible for sales of fuel and mileage tax reporting services, compliance and audit consulting, titling and lien processing, vehicle permitting and registration, and fleet asset management systems. “John is a welcome addition to TransCore,” says Steven Baumhardt, vice president of business development for TransCore. “His industry experience and wealth of knowledge will be a great benefit to the Fleet Compliance Services team and our customers.”

Jabas comes to TransCore from Comdata Network in Irving, Texas, where he served as vice president of legalization & IFTA/IRP regulatory compliance services. As part of his duties, Jabas supported the development of an excise tax services program, provided regulatory compliance services to fleet license/registration accounts, and established a regulatory compliance service for Unified Carrier Registration.

Prior to Comdata, Jabas worked as director of fleet services at FFE Transportation Services in Dallas, where he contributed to the in-house titling, International Registration Plan licensing and vehicle in-service processing procedures for 2,100 tractors and 3,000 trailers; he also initiated an in-house International Fuel Tax Agreement and mileage tax permitting system for company and owner-operator fleets.

Jabas is a member of the American Trucking Associations, IFTA, IRP and National Accounting & Finance Council.
