Colony Tire Corporation, headquartered in Edenton, N.C., has been signed as the newest Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) franchisee, according to Tom Brennan, vice president and director of MRT.

“Michelin is pleased to have such an excellent retread provider and industry-leading dealer like Colony Tire join our expanding network of MRT franchises,” said Brennan. “Our MRT retreading process supplies the highest quality retreads to trucking fleets and public transportation vehicles, enabling them to reduce their operating costs. Demand for MRT products, including our Michelin X One wide single retreads, is increasing, and Colony Tire will help meet that demand.”

Colony Tire has 20 commercial locations covered by this agreement that will be operational by the end of May and will bring the total number of Michelin Retread Technologies franchisees serving the North American market to 46.

“At Colony Tire, our primary objective is to exceed our customer’s expectations for products and service,” said Charlie Creighton, CEO of Colony Tire. “MRT’s process and product offering are a perfect match for that objective. Our customers demand high-quality retreads, and MRT enables us to provide those products, which support our customers’ long-term growth and prosperity.”
