Dover Industrial Products announced that two of its subsidiary companies — Rotary and Chief Automotive Technologies — have been combined to form the Vehicle Service Group (VSG). The company says the move is designed to better serve customers in the vehicle service and repair markets, and to leverage inherent scale and technology.

VSG will be located in Madison, Ind., the current location of Rotary’s headquarters and North American manufacturing facility. Chief Automotive will relocate its operations to Madison from its current location in Grand Island, Neb.

“This newly formed group will greatly enhance our ability to provide superior levels of service and support to our automotive customers while leveraging the company’s facilities, personnel and resources,” says Tom Giacomini, Dover Industrial Products president and chief executive officer.
