Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, announced a contract with NxStage Medical, Inc., to manage shipments of dialysis products across North America. NxStage chose the non-asset based third-party logistics (3PL) provider to move product shipments from Mexico as well as to their customers throughout the United States. Transplace will use its Transportation Management System (TMS) and business intelligence reporting and analytics capabilities to provide NxStage with real time shipment visibility and detailed reporting capabilities.
Headquartered in Lawrence, Mass., NxStage Medical is a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative systems for the treatment of end-stage renal disease, acute kidney failure and fluid overload.
