Internet Truckstop, an online provider of information to the transportation industry, recently announced the introduction of ShipperMate, an online customer lead generation tool designed to provide its members a database of more than seven million shippers that have made at least one shipment, whether it be full or less-than-truckload.

“ShipperMate was developed to help freight brokers and trucking companies create new business opportunities,” says Scott Moscrip, president of Internet Truckstop, based in New Plymouth, Idaho. “We are happy with the customer feedback as to the effectiveness in finding sales leads and the ease of use of the CRM.”

According to the company, the program provides a profile of the shipper that includes basic demographic information such as name, address and phone number, as well as information on what type of shipper they are, be it full truckload, LTL, rail or air, their minimum known freight spend, seasonal shipping patterns, rates into and out of their shipping location, and a credit rating on that shipper. Internet Truckstop says ShipperMate also provides users an online customer relationship management program that helps freight broker and motor carrier salespeople manage their leads and the sales process.

“We have been using ShipperMate for about two months now and have picked up two customers and have moved loads for them,” says Daniel Kelty, senior account manager with C.R. England, a Salt Lake City-based truckload carrier. “We are very pleased with ShipperMate and will continue to use this incredible tool.”
