SkyBitz, a remote asset tracking and information management service provider, announced that Craig Montgomery, senior vice president of marketing and business development, has been appointed to the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) Institute Board of Governors.

The NPTC Institute Board of Governors is comprised of transportation and logistics industry executives whose mission is to provide research, continuing education and certification for the private fleet and transportation management industry programs for NPTC members.

“I am excited to join and learn from such a dedicated group of business leaders,” said Montgomery. “I hope that my background in both transportation and technology can be of use for the partners and members of NPTC to continue their leadership in forward thinking and innovation.”

The NPTC is the only trade association in the United States devoted exclusively to the interests of the private corporate trucking fleet industry and its professional practitioners. NPTC represents a cross-section of American manufacturers, distributors, retailers and public service organizations ranging in size from family-owned small businesses and town utility fleets to Fortune 500 global conglomerates.

Montgomery is an accomplished marketing and business development executive with more than 14 years experience in influential high technology sectors such as wireless telecommunications, information services, computers and location-based services.
