Sarto returns to Qualcomm Enterprise Services

Qualcomm Inc., a provider of integrated wireless systems and services to transportation, logistics and service fleet companies, announced the return of John Sarto to Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES) as senior vice president of business development. Sarto brings more than 38 years of industry experience to the role, including former service as QES president from 1997 to 1999. In his new role, Sarto will be responsible for the development of strategic initiatives and expansion of QES’ businesses in the transportation and logistics industry.

“In our quest to continue building our business, I am confident John will help lead us to develop and execute our strategies within QES,” says Rich Sulpizio, chief executive officer and president of Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “In addition to his considerable industry knowledge, John has an impressive track record in business development, strategic and financial planning, as well as new product introduction in transportation and logistics services businesses.”

Sarto has both extensive trucking and wireless application services experience. His career includes roles in sales, marketing and customer service at Overnite Transportation and Carolina Freight, providing him with a comprehensive background in the trucking industry operations and implementation of advanced technologies to improve customer service and productivity. Sarto has served as chairman and CEO of Teletrac Inc., acting chairman and CEO of International Telematics Corp., and was recently chairman and CEO of PeopleNet Communications from 2000 to 2008.
