FreightWatch International, a provider of global logistics security solutions, announced a partnership with Eurowatch, a European police response service provider, to jointly develop cargo theft intelligence in the European market to track logistics-related crime trends.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Eurowatch to track, record and analyze crime trends,” says Barry Conlon, chief executive officer of FreightWatch. “By pooling resources, theft information and efforts, the industry serves to benefit from better intelligence, more effective countermeasures and safer supply chains.”

The jointly produced and released cargo theft reports will combine information from both organizations to identify cargo theft trends in Europe, including active targeting by criminal gangs, popular stolen items, change in average loss value, and theft by location. Particular issues also may compare and contrast cargo theft crime regionally between Europe, South America, Asia and the United States.
