Express-1 Expedited Solutions. a Saint Joseph, Mich.-based provider of transportation logistics, has appointed Dan Para as chief executive officer of its Concert Group Logistics freight forwarding company. Para first opened the doors as the CEO for Concert Group Logistics in late 2001 and held that role until being acquired by Express-1 in January 2008, at which time his involvement transitioned to a board member of XPO.

Para’s transportation logistics career spans two companies dating back to the late 1970s. His return as CGL’s CEO follows the resignation of President Gerry Post, who desired to focus more on operations as the new independent owner of CGL Minneapolis.

“Gerry was a dedicated and trusted leader throughout the CGL network and industry,” says Mike Welch, Express-1 CEO. “We’re extremely confident he’ll provide outstanding service for our clients requiring a premium transportation logistics partner in and around Minnesota. I have come to know Dan Para very well and appreciate his great track record for success. As a founding member of CGL and passionate shareholder of Express-1, Dan Para was my first call.”
