Rebecca Brewster, president and chief operating officer of the American Transportation Research Institute, recently was honored with the J.R. “Bob” Halladay Award for her dedication and commitment to the trucking industry. The Halladay Award, named after former American Trucking Associations Senior Vice President for Federation Relations Bob Halladay, recognizes individuals for outstanding service in support of the 50 state trucking associations.

The periodic award is presented only when the Trucking Associations Executive Council has determined a person worthy of the award. The award was presented by Jim Runk – the outgoing TAEC national chair, and president and chief executive officer of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association – at the TAEC Annual Meeting held July 17-21 in Bedford Springs, Pa.

“I can think of no one in this industry who deserves the honor more than Rebecca Brewster, because she epitomizes the work ethic of J.R. ‘Bob’ Halladay and has made outstanding contributions to assist and support the work and efforts of the state tucking associations,” Runk says. “She has also demonstrated a special acknowledgement of the important role state trucking associations play in the ATA Federation.”
